Join us on Wednesday 7th September for A Pamper for a Good Cause
Our member, Helen Huitson, Regional Director for The Body Shop Home, is going to be treating us to a mini pamper session. Offering hand massages and mini facials.
An opportunity to meet up, have a meal and be pampered all at once. Helen will show us some of her favourite Body Shop products and I am sure she will have a game or two up her sleeve 🙂
Secondly, it will also be an opportunity for us to raise some money for a local North East Charity, ‘Changing Minds With Pick Up A Penny’ as we’ll be collecting any donations offered for our treatments.
Sara from ‘Changing Minds With Pick Up A Penny’ has recently provided great advice and support to a couple of our members’ families.
On this occassion, we’ll meet in the function room at Ravensworth Arms from 6pm for a 6.30pm start – a delicious 2-course meal. The Ravensworth have a decent sized function room and we are limiting the numbers to just 20 so there will still be plenty of space.
So here’s the hard decision, we have Ravensworth’s menu below. Please choose a main and dessert when booking.
MAINS
- Cajun Chicken Burger – battered fillet, smoked cheese, streaky bacon, pickled red onion, onion rings, skin-on fries, white BBQ dip.*
- Sriracha and Beyond (v) – Beyond Burger® patty, smoked cheese, honey-glazed halloumi, pickled red onion, sriracha mayo, oven-baked chips.*
- Vegan Sriracha and Beyond (VE) – Beyond Burger® patty, sriracha roasted cauliflower, melted plant-based slice, pickled red onion, sriracha mayo, oven-baked chips.*
*Served in a brioche bun with baby gem, tomato, red onion and mayo, skin-on fries and onion rings.*
- Smothered Chicken – smoked cheese, BBQ sauce, back bacon, dressed rocket & courgette salad, onion rings, chips.
- Hand-Battered Atlantic Cod & Chips – chips, tartare sauce, garden or mushy peas.
- Hand-Battered Halloumi & Chips (v) – chips, tartare sauce, garden or mushy peas.
- British Slow-Cooked Steak & Ale Pie – puff pastry lid, maple-roast carrot, Tenderstem® broccoli, peas, gravy, with chips or mash.
- Sea Bass and Seared Scallops – king prawn, white wine & pea risotto.
- Gammon with Rum & Cola Glaze – fried free-range egg, grilled pineapple, triple-cooked chips, garden peas.
- Beef, Pancetta & Red Wine Lasagne – dressed leaves, with chips or garlic ciabatta.
- Keralan Chickpea Curry (VE) – spiced roast cauliflower, basmati & wild rice, flatbread, poppadom shards, cucumber dip, sliced chilli, coriander.
- Super Greens Salad (VE) – grains, spinach, avocado, roasted peppers, courgette ribbons, pickled red onion, balsamic & rapeseed oil dressing.
- Mushroom & Ale Pie (VE) – maple-roast carrot, Tenderstem® broccoli, peas, balsamic gravy with oven-baked chips or roasted baby potatoes
DESSERTS
- Caramel Banana Waffle (v) – chocolate sauce, banana & butterscotch ice cream, whipped cream.
- Triple Chocolate Brownie (v) – chocolate sauce, clotted cream ice cream.
- Ice Cream and Sorbet (v) – three scoops, various flavours, with chocolate or salted caramel sauce and chocolate chip cookie.
- Bakewell Tart (v) – raspberry coulis, custard, shortbread crumb.
- Sticky Toffee Pudding (v) – rich date & sultana toffee sauce, clotted cream ice cream.
- Mini Pudding and Hot Drink – choose from Triple Chocolate Brownie (v), Caramelised Vanilla Cheesecake (v), Mocha Torte (VE) with any coffee or tea (excludes liqueur coffee).
- Plant-Based Ice Cream and Sorbet (VE) – three scoops, various flavours, with strawberry sauce.
Generally, we tend to finish our meetings around 9.30pm.
